Enterprise AI Agent Startup Wonderful Raises $550M, Hits $5B Valuation in Under a Year
The Tel Aviv- and Amsterdam-based startup's valuation has now climbed from $700 million to $5 billion across four rounds in about ten months, as it repositions from voice agents to a full 'AI operating system' for the enterprise.
Wonderful, an Israeli-Dutch enterprise AI startup, has closed a $550 million Series C at a $5 billion valuation, the company announced on September 2. The round was led by Insight Partners, with Salesforce joining as a new investor alongside returning backers Index Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, IVP, Vine Ventures and 9Yards Capital.
From voice agents to an "AI operating system"
Wonderful was founded in early 2025 by CEO Bar Winkler, who previously built and sold payment-automation platform Approve.com to Tipalti in 2021, and CTO Roey Lalazar, founder of localization platform Kaps. The company started out selling AI voice and chat agents for enterprise customer service, automating conversations across voice, chat and email while integrating with existing back-office systems.
It has since broadened that pitch considerably, describing its current product as an "AI operating system" — a coordination layer that manages agents, workflows, AI-native applications, integrations and governed execution across an enterprise, rather than a single-purpose customer-service bot. The company says its technology has expanded from voice and operational agents into multidisciplinary agents and software-development systems.
A rapid valuation climb
The Series C caps an unusually fast fundraising run: Wonderful has now raised more than $800 million across four rounds in roughly ten months, with its valuation rising from a $700 million mark to $5 billion — more than doubling since its Series B just six months ago, when it was valued near $2 billion. Since that March 2026 round, the company says it has expanded into more than 35 markets and grown to about 650 employees, split between a Tel Aviv development base and an Amsterdam headquarters serving as its European hub.
Wonderful reports an annualized revenue run rate of roughly $70 million, which it expects to surpass $100 million by the end of the year.
Why it matters
Salesforce's participation as a new investor is notable: the CRM giant has been building out its own Agentforce platform for enterprise AI agents, and its backing of an independent "AI operating system" vendor suggests large software incumbents see room to invest in — rather than only compete with — infrastructure that coordinates agents across a company's stack. More broadly, Wonderful's climb from a $700 million to a $5 billion valuation in under a year is another data point in a 2026 funding environment where enterprise AI agent platforms are being valued on the promise of orchestrating work across an organization, not just automating a single task.
